Halloween Weekend...

What a great weekend we had!

Saturday-
I failed to take any pictures at the GA/FL party, only because we were SO into the game! It was a good game, but we lost in overtime. It was by far the best game in at least 5 years. My sausage rolls were such a huge hit at the party. I was glad everyone asked me how I made them and what was in them. HA!
We had to leave a little early so we could go get ready since our DD was picking us up at 8:00 and taking us to the Halloween party. Here are some pictures from before the party...

Now for the party pictures...

We had a blast and got home REALLY late & I was exhausted, but it was so fun! My camera died shortly after we got there and I was pissed. If anyone knows me, my camera is my life. It is with me at all times! We took a few pictures off of Eric's phone so I was OK with that!

Sunday-There is not much to say about today! We have done NOTHING! We slept in and once we got out of bed we cleaned the house up some and washed all the clothes & sheets. Oh how I love going to bed on clean sheets :)!! Then we curled up on couch and slept the afternoon away. So we have pretty much been lazy all day, but that's OK that is why I love Sunday's! :)

I hope everyone had a great weekend & has a great week ahead!

Haunted Forest, Costumes, & treats...

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far!
The weather finally feels like fall in South Georgia!! YAY!
Perfect for grilling & partying! :)

Last night, after getting off work, Eric, his mom, & I went to a haunted house about 45 minutes away from our town. It was SO worth the drive and the money to get in! It was really scary or maybe I'm just a chicken. It was actually a haunted forest, but of course they had it set up like a maze with the black tarps to make it dark and so the scary people could hide behind it, jump out and scare the daylights out of you! haha! And for the record, I DO NOT (I repeat) DO NOT like when they follow behind you and don't say anything....creeps me out!! There was several times when this happened and what do ya know I was the last in the line, but it didn't take me long to get to the front! ha! At one point this guy brought out the chainsaw. Usually this is done at the end of haunted rides, houses, or forest. Not this time! It was in the middle of the 'trip'. This part scared me SO bad that I actually pushed Eric's mom on accident and she fell. OOPS! She was OK, but after it was all over it was kind of funny! All in all we enjoyed ourselves and will be recommending it to others!

I have finally finished our costumes. And if y'all are wondering what they are, I guess I could go ahead and tell you! Eric's costume is a JUICY JUICE BOX. Ever since high school he has been called by the name of  'Juice'. Don't ask why because I have no idea. I don't think he even knows. But it's just one of those names that has stuck with him throughout the years. Most people only know him as "Juice" and not Eric. Anyways...we decided that a Juicy Juice Box would be the perfect costume for him! So...I found a box and we painted it green, cut out some arm holes, and a hole for his head. I made the letters and everything that goes on the front, and I fixed him up a straw for the top. He is going to wear black sweat pants and a black long sleeve shirt.  I'd have to say it turned out GREAT!! I was very pleased with the outcome. It is going to be hilarious!!  As for my costume, I'm a angel :)! I didn't want to spend a lot of money. All I ended up buying was the wings, and fake eyelashes. I already had a white dress, and I handmade my halo(OMG --this took forever)!! I can't wait to take pictures of everyone dressed up!

In a couple of hours we are headed over to a friends to grill and watch the GA/FL game (GOOO DAWGS)!! I really would like a nap since we didn't get home until late, but I have too much to do before this afternoon and the party tonight. I hate going empty handed somewhere, even though we weren't told to bring anything I feel like I needed to. So I made these yummy sausage rolls....

What you will need:
2 packs of regular Jimmy Dean(or another brand) sausage
2 packs of cream cheese
4 packs of croissants
(I usually throw in a little garlic powder to season it)

1. Brown your sausage and drain
2. Melt down cream cheese until mixable
3. Add sausage with cream cheese until well mixed
4. Roll out and separate croissants
5. Cover the croissants with the sausage and cream cheese and then roll up
6.Bake on 400 until croissants are brown.
7.ENJOY!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend and I can't wait to share our pictures with y'all and of course see what everyone else dressed up as!!

What I'm Thankful for...

Happy Thursday everyone!! One more day until the weekend! Whoo hoo!

I'm thankful...that the weekend is just around the corner. It's been a long week and I'm ready for some football and costume parties!

I'm thankful...for a roof over my head. There are so many people who don't have a home and it breaks my heart.

I'm thankful...for my wonderful friends! New and Old! I have met and gained a lot of new friends since me and Eric have started dating. BUT, my old friends, I wouldn't trade for ANYTHING!

I'm thankful...for a job. Most days I love my job and I know I may complain sometimes, but I'm thankful to be employed!

I'm thankful...that tomorrow is jean day at work...PLUS we get to wear our new work T-shirts. I'm all about working in jeans and a T-shirt!

I'm thankful...for my mother who is my best friend. She is such a strong woman!

I'm thankful...for the rain we got down here in South Georgia today! It was much needed and hopefully will cool things down for the weekend.

And as always
I'm thankful...
for my AMAZING guy...

I'm thankful...I get to see this face EVERYDAY!

I hope everyone has a great Friday!

What I'm loving Wednesday

I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!

I'm linking up with Jamie from this kind of love on...

I'm loving....that I tried oysters for the first time last night and LOVED them. We put them on the grill long enough to crack the shell. Then we cracked them open and left them on a half shell. We then mixed together butter, saltine crackers, & Parmesan cheese. After melting it all together we covered each oyster with it and baked it until done. Then you pop them on a cracker with some hot sauce and there ya go! YUM!!

I'm loving...that the Halloween festivities are only 3 days away. Everything is coming together slowly, but surely! I can't wait to see everyone dressed up.

I'm loving...that Eric decided to start the police academy in January. I am so proud of him, and I know he will do great! I hear it's tough.

I'm loving...my family. They mean everything to me, although I don't get to see them enough. They do so much for us and they will never know how much I appreciate it!

I'm loving...that I've been feeling GREAT this week. I'm not tired, ill, or just plain dragging around. It feels nice.

I'm loving...that I am off work tomorrow and that I don't really have any plans. Although I DO have a massage that needs to be redeemed! :)

And of course, I'm loving...my amazing boyfriend, Eric!

And how could I forget that I'm loving...this cute face...

I hope everyone has a great day!

I AM...

I am... having so much trouble trying to find a cute template/background that I like and getting it to work. So just hang in there with me if my blog looks strange some days. This is so addicting!! I am having so much fun learning how to do everything and change stuff.

I am... SO ready for this weekend. Eric & I spent all day yesterday afternoon getting his costume ready. We still have a lot to do, but it's going to be great. I will give y'all a hint. He is wearing a green box...can you guess what he could be? ;)

I am... stressing about one part of my costume. I waited too late to find a certain accessory, and it looks as if I will be hand making it! HA! Prayers are needed.

I am...totally and madly in love with Eric! He is so good to me!!

I am...thinking I need another girls night soon. We all get together about once a week for the past few weeks, but it's never enough! I miss my girls!!

I am...in desperate need of some new fall clothes. Although, the weather is still very warm (to me) down here in the South.

I am...loving my sweet baby girl, Emmie. She is always such a sweet dog. I couldn't imagine coming home everyday without her being here.

I am...looking forward to sleeping in on Thursday, and spending time with Eric.

I hope everyone has a great rest of the week !!

Kickin' it in the sticks...

WOW!
That's all I have to say about this weekend. It was a blast and I'd do it all over in a heartbeat. Here is a little bit of what went down...

Saturday, after getting off work at 12pm, I came home and helped Eric get everything ready to start grilling for our friends. We had hamburgers, chicken wings, and chips. Just something to hold us over until we got to the concert. The Brantley Gilbert concert, which was set up in a field outside of a watermelon shed, started at around 10:30pm, but they had about four other bands before he performed. We had to get there about 5:30 (when the gates opened) to get a good spot. There was so many people there! The concert was called Kickin' it in the sticks with Brantley and Friends. There were probably over 2000 people there, IN A FIELD! haha! It was perfect though...here are a few pictures from the night.

Me & Eric showing some love

Me & my good friend Trish

Today, of course, we are paying for last night. haha! But that is OK with me! The plans for today were to just lay around the house and be lazy and that is exactly what we have been doing.

We have another busy weekend coming up which includes the GA/FLORIDA game. It is ALWAYS a big deal to us! We plan on grilling with some friends at their house and having some drinks!
After the game is over, it will be time to dress up and head out to a few Halloween parties. We have both decided what we want to be, and I have most of my costume together, we just have to finish painting his(I'm all about saving some money and making homemade costumes), it's going to be hilarious! I am so excited! I love dressing up!

Well I hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm off to start supper and get ready for another work week!!

Here goes nothing...

Well, here goes nothing everything. My first blog ever. My best friend, Whitney, over at Keeping Up With Kynlee got me interested in blogging. After reading her blog about her sweet baby girl, and also looking at a few others over the past few weeks I have decided to start my own blog, and journal of my life. Here is a little about myself....

I'm 23 years old, born and raised in a small town in south Georgia. I love it here and wouldn't trade it for anything. I hate hectic traffic and big towns-Don't get me wrong I love to visit them, but couldn't live there. I have the most wonderful parents who have been together for over 27 years now. My brother who is 21, is hilarious, caring, & adventurous. I have the most amazing guy in my life, for the past year, he is everything I have always hoped and prayed for! We moved in together after only dating for 4 months, but it was by far the best decision I have ever made. My other love would be, Emmie, my mini Yorkshire Terrier. She is 1 1/2 years old and a fire ball. She stole my heart the moment I picked her! Love at first sight! I have been working at the same job for over 4 years now, a small bank in a town over from where we live. I love it here, but am ready to further my education elsewhere. I plan on starting Darton College in the Spring for Nursing. I am beyond excited! Well that's a little about me now for some pictures(which I love)...

My sweet Emmie Lou

My prince charming & I on our cruise in September 2010

Our plans for the weekend:
Friday- Eric, my prince charming, plays softball(ALL THE TIME), and not to brag, but he's good! But in our small town they are having a 'one pitch' tournament. It usually starts about 8:00pm and could last until 8:00am or longer. It's just a social thing that the him and his guys enjoy doing.

Saturday-I work till 12pm , which blows, but it is nice having EVERY Thursday off(all day long). We have 6 FREE tickets to the Brantley Gilbert concert about 15 minutes away from where we live. We couldn't pass them up, so we invited 4 of our friends and plan on having a BLAST!

Sunday-Involves a lot of cuddling, and just taking it easy and resting up for the next work week, which I always dread.

Thanks for sticking with me on my first post ever. I hope you will continue to follow.
Have a great & safe weekend!
